Voor de opnames van de videoclip van Alice Avery zijn we (dringend) op zoek naar:

* 7 mannen (zwarte edelfiguranten als bandleden van Alice) 
Een instrument kunnen bespelen is een pluspunt.

* 50 figuranten tussen 18 en 40 jaar

* Volgende oude muziekinstrumenten:
- Contrabas
- Saxofoon
- Elektrische gitaar
- Drumstel

* Rekwisieten uit de jaren 50 - 70 (moeten niet werken):
- Telefoon
- Radio
- Tv toestel

Latest Alice Avery News Alice Avery has been very busy these last few months!  Working hard in the studio with Roel de Ruiter (Clouseau & Sandrine) recording for her first album. Her debut single "U make my heart beat" was only the beginning. The second single "Oops Baby" is expected to be released in February.  Het laatste nieuws over Alice Avery Alice Avery heeft de laatste maanden niet stilgezeten! Ze kroop de studio in met Roel de Ruiter (o.a. Clouseau & Sandrine) voor de opnames van haar eerste album. Haar eerste single 'You Make My Heart Beat', toonde haar sterke vocale prestatie al. Haar tweede single 'Oops Baby' wordt in februari verwacht. Wij zijn alvast heel benieuwd naar het resultaat.

Quinoa Salad Recipe

Hi guys, yesterday I made my family and I some yummy lunch and because this is such a random blog I decided to post the recipe, just in case you're bored and are interested in making a healthy dish.

This recipe uses Quinoa which is a grain, it tastes a bit like pasta but is gluten free and is comparable to cous cous but with way more protein so perfect for the vegetarianos :-) 

2 cups of Quinoa

With 4 cups of water

Boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes

until the Quinoa has absorbed the water and looks fluffy (ish)

Chop up some veggies you like

I added shallot, sun-dried tomatoes, tomatoes, salad, corn and peas

In a pan, heat up a dash of olive oil and salt, add the shallot and let it cook for 2 minutes.

Then add the cooked (and drained) quinoa and veggies.

When it is all throughly heated, take off heat and add some pesto sauce and herbs of your choice.

Serve as lunch or side dish for dinner

I ate it with some mozzarella which was delish.

Last week I performed at the Mannequin Model pre-selection competition, it was in a huge mall and was alotta fun. There were some really cute kids who came up to me and told me they wanted to become a singer too. And I told them to practice alot, never give up, keep trying and put your heart in it. Trust me it's hard, and I don't really see my self as a singer yet, well I do but when someone asks me what I do I'm always hesitant to say "I'm a singer" cuz chances are they don't know me yet so I always awkwardly say, "I kinda try to sing" :p which doesn't really show how enthusiastic I am about it, but I really am very excited about all of it, and work very hard at it, I guess I just have high standards and won't stop and call myself a 'real' 'serious' 'successful' singer until well I am :p

Until that day comes, it's just all about never giving up and persevering... and of course believing in yourself.

I'm BACK

I know, it's outrageous how lazy I have been with this blog lately, abandoning it was not what I had in mind when I started out so I'm gonna pick up where I left off and this time I'll do my best to post as often as I can! To be honest, I think I might have been reluctant to post because I wanted to tell you guys about super hot and sexy shows that I've played and gigs and TV shows but believe you me, it is hard to get your first single out there! No wonder my mom and dad wanted me to have a back-up plan :p BUT don't worry, this is not me throwing in the towel, it is rather the contrary, the difficulty of succeeding and breaking through is only firing me up to try harder, do more and be better! I mean I am very lucky, my first single is selling good, and I'm in the "tip" hitlist, and my video is being played on national TV, so I'm thrilled but I can't help but want more! 

The biggest hurdle is the national radio. I love Kesha and Katy Perry and all the international stars, I love hearing their songs on the radio but you would think that the country you live in would want to promote national artists as well, but apparently this is not as easy as you'd think... well easy isn't the right word but it's not as straightforward as you'd think. It is very hard to get on the radio, but don't worry I have a plan... gift-baskets! Haha as soon as they taste my gluten-free cupcakes they won't be able to say no :p Ok, I know that might be a bit too simple but I'm just brainstorming out loud here ;-) Whatever happens, I just hope I can keep entertaining you and rocking out on stage!

John Frieda "Root Awakening"  

It smells so good! And really gives your hair some oomph.

                                  

Hawaiian Tropic "SunDial"

This self tanner is amazing, you can choose how dark you want to go and it gives you an amazing glow, the typical self tanner smell isn't even that bad.

Ren "ClearCalm 3 Anti-Blemish Clay Cleanser"

This clears up your skin in only a few days. When I'm good and use it in the morning and at night my skin is flawless. And when you've been naughty and too lazy, it clears up your skin in no time!

Biosilk "Silk Therapy"

I put this on my hair ends and its amazing... It's great against split ends and gives your hair that million dollar shine. 

Dermalogica "Multi Vitamin Power Recovery Mask"

This mask has magical powers, it gives your skin that 'after a walk in the park glow' or other glow enhancing actions... A definite must-have. 

Olaz (In other countries it's "Olay" very confusing) "Complete Multi Radiance Light Reflecting Lotion"

My favorite moisturizer and I've tried plenty but always come back to this one.

CHI "Ionic Color Protection System"

This shampoo makes my hair look super healthy. It doesn't damage it at all because it has no sulfates which most shampoo's do contain even though it's not that good for your hair. If you have some extra cash, def splash it on this shampoo.
